Proverbs 17:17

Proverbs 17:17 was probably the only verse that was embedded in my mind after all the verse-memorizing-stuff in my old school.

I remember it this way.

A friend loves at all times. Proverbs 17:17.

Someone just linked me to an online Bible to help me with Mane Thecel Phares. Then I had to check for the Filipino Bible online so I'd have an easier time for my presentation.

Then just out of curiosity, I looked up the only verse I've gotten memorized. With the book and verse, that is.

So I type in Proverbs 17:17.

This is what turns up:

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

I checked adversity up and it says, "A condition marked by distress, misfortune, or calamity."

So wow.
The way I interpreted it, it just sorta kinda fit my situation.
