I kinda copy pasted this from Ate Dea's blog in multiply. Just because I'm being sentimental.
my childhood
growing up in Fook Chi,
surrounded by Filipinos - above, beside, below, in all directions and floors*
a million different titos and titas
friends and extended family
terror yayas and extortion
midnight masses (misa de gallo at Dea's house)
"can you come out and play?"
"can you do this? *mocking voice*"
"I DARE YOU!"
HALLOWEEN PARTIES!!!
L1 & L2 terror - the two floors i NEVER, EVER set foot in in the 11 years i lived there..
false fire alarms [Ian and I were behind that. Hay, who knew we'd be prom dates? xD]
SLIDING DOWN THE STAIRS! :( [This is just Ate Dea.]
the stairwell aka the where-dads-hang-out-to-smoke-and-talk-during-parties-while-their-wives-tsismis-inside place
renting empty flats for parties
neighbor watching
playing dress up [I hated this.]
"eating out" (when you were really eating at someone else's house)
sliding down the golden banister [My arm got stuck in between this and the wall... WHEN THE SCHOOL BUS ARRIVED. :|]
getting stuck in the elevator (without any grown ups) for hours and hours
getting your finger stuck in a closing elevator --> and then God invented sensors. hahaha! [I remember waking up with a really swollen finger bandaged and stuff.]
THE 12TH FLOOR!! (Celine Dion concert live, for free anyone?)
Play Station, Sonic the Hedgehog and all things Gameboy related [Don't forget PS and PS2]
SLEEPOVERS :)
decorating for Christmas
Christmas :) [All the presents~!]
the iron barred gate & umbrella trick
the park
(potato chips)
dogs :)
drama!! [looking back, there was way too much but just enough.. ;p]
tita carol's cakes
the ICAC, Chinese Triad and drunken chinese neighbors na magwala at 3am.
death
moving out, moving on...
Sometimes I debate with myself on whether Fook Chi or Mabolo's closer.
Well, at present... I'm guessing Mabolo's closer than Fook Chi, since Fook Chi people rarely get to talk.
I bet we've changed so much. Well, we did. To the point that it's like we're familiar strangers.
Paradox much.
